Arriva repainted two vehicles S559 MCC (2274) and V584DJC (2354) into a retro Crosville livery

A few pictures of the Ex Crosville vehicles at the Birkenhead Bus & Tram show on 1st October 2006. Unfortunately not all the vehicles entered appeared on the day - many thanks to those owners who took their vehicles to the show, photography was a little restricted so most of the shots are 'front end' type.

A joint tour with the Merseyside Bus Club, this tour did not take in Crosville territory as such but enabled me to aquaint myself with four ex CMS vehicles, all of which featured in the tour. Thanks are due, not only to the organisers, but to both Linburg and Johnsons for allowing their vehicles to be used.

A tour of North Wales starting as usual at Chester then Wrexham to Corwen, through to Betws y Coed, Blaenau Ffestiniog, Porthmadog, Pwllheli, Caernarfon, Bangor and back to Chester. Thanks to the CEC committee for organising the trip and to Ian Johnson for allowing his superbly restored VR to be used.

This tour took in Mid Wales, departing Chester we travelled 'over the hills' to Corwen and on through Bala to Dolgellau for our first stop, then it was on to Aberystwyth. Departing Aberystwyth we returned via Llanidloes, Newton, Oswestry and on to Chester.

Many thanks to the CEC committee for organising it and a huge thank you to Steve Graham, not only for making AFM 106G available but also for ensuring we had a safe journey throughout the day.

The second tour of North Wales started out from Chester and took a coastal route to Bangor via Rhyl, tour vehiclle from Chester to Bangor was 837 SUO, from Bangor we were transported around Angleysey on XSD 602T. A large amount of ex CMS vehicles were seen at Alpine in Rhyl.

Not all the photographs were taken on the day, where they were taken on another date this is included, I hope rather than detract from the event this will enhance it

Once again many thanks to the CEC for organising the tour and to our two drivers on the day.

This trip took in parts of the North West of England using Former Crosville coach C70 JTU.

Again many thanks to the CEC committee for organising the trip and to Maghull coaches and our driver for the use of C70 JTU which performed magnificently all day.

The sixth and final CEC tour of 2006 was a half day trip before the AGM. Tour bus was Bristol VR DCA 530X and visits were made to various depots on Deeside. Including the VR a total of four Ex Crosville vehicles were seen.

Thanks must go to our driver, and both the CEC committee and the EPG for arranging this, and the previous five tours of 2006.
